Williams claims season-opening victory at Trevose

Chris Williams fought off the challenge of Major Champions and former Ryder Cup stars to secure a three-stroke victory at the Farmfoods European Legends Links Championship at Trevose Golf & Country Club. The 62-year-old’s victory on the Cornish coastline is his first in Europe in a career spanning over 40 years and he therefore rates it at his most impressive triumph.

Bjørn makes debut

“There’s a nice atmosphere but obviously on Friday morning, it will be the same as always. People will be focused on playing good golf and doing their best on the golf course. It’s a relaxed atmosphere.”  – Thomas Bjørn

 

Bjørn had a fantastic debut finishing in a tie for third place on five under par which included a scintillating 65 on day two.
