Bradley Dredge will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the European Legends Cup by SR Nexus after a closing birdie moved him clear of Steve Webster at Fontanals Golf.

The Welshman, a two-time DP World Tour winner, followed his opening 65 with a second consecutive bogey-free round, carding a four-under-par 68 to reach 11-under-par as the Staysure Legends Tour heads into the final day of its latest stop in Spain.

Webster produced the round of the day to surge into contention, firing an eight-under-par 64 to climb from eight shots back and briefly join Dredge at the top on 10 – under.

The 2025 Grass & Co English Legends champion’s charge included a memorable birdie at the 10th, where he holed out from the greenside bunker using his putter, before making eagle at the par-five 13th after hitting his approach from 250 yards to three feet.

Dredge responded late in the day, producing a superb approach into the 18th which pitched just inches from the hole before converting the birdie to regain the outright lead heading into Sunday.

Overnight leader Andrew Marshall remains firmly in contention after a one-under-par 71 left him two shots back on nine-under, where he is joined by Simon Griffiths and Robert Coles. Griffiths carded a 68, while Coles moved into contention with a six-under-par 66.

Road to Cambodia Order of Merit contender and Ryder Cup player, Stephen Gallacher, sits four shots off the lead on seven-under after a second-round 68. He is joined by Johan Edfors and Hennie Otto, with Edfors bouncing back from his opening 72 with a seven-under-par 65, which included a tee shot to inches at the par-three 17th.

With Dredge one clear of Webster and five players within four shots of the lead, the European Legends Cup is set for a tightly-contested final round at Fontanals Golf.

“I started off hitting it really well and then struggled with the driver, and that went into the rest of the game. But it was another flawless round, no bogeys, so I’m delighted with that.”

“Really happy. I thought my game was heading in the right direction, but it’s been frustrating the last two or three weeks. My bad shots were too bad, but I had a little lesson off a friend of mine last week and we found a few things. It feels really positive now.”
