A decade of the Legends Open de France

The Legends Tour will host a 10th edition of the Legends Open de France presented by CLA in 2024 with a new venue.

Le Touquet Golf Resort on the Opal Coast along the English Channel just south of Boulogne hosted the Open de France six times from 1921 to 1977 when Seve Ballesteros was the winner, but this will be the first over 50’s Tour event to be staged there.

Le Touquet Golf Resort

It is one of 27 select European Tour Destinations and is in Golf World’s Top 100 Golf Resorts for 2024 while it was also named among Europe’s Top 20 in 2023. With three courses at the resort, the Legends will be tested on La Forét, a tree-lined par 71 track nestled in the heart of a pine forest which opened in 1904.

The clubhouse and courses at Le Touquet were largely destroyed during the Allied bombardment during the Second World War but were then meticulously rebuilt and restored to their former glory.

Adilson da Silva won this title in 2023 at Golf de Saint-Cloud, three shots ahead of Michael Jonzon.
