Swedish professional golfer Richard S. Johnson has built a dynamic career heavily rooted in Europe, now showcased on the senior circuit Staysure Legends Tour.
A prominent competitor in events like the Portugal Legends Championship at Pinheirinho Golf Course, he originally climbed the ranks on Europe’s developmental circuits before solidifying his standing with two iconic European Tour victories: the 2002 ANZ Championship and an emotional 2010 Nordea Scandinavian Masters triumph on
home soil. He also secured a tie for 9th at the 2009 Open Championship and claimed the 2008 U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee on the PGA Tour, reaching a career-high Official World Golf Ranking of No. 94.
He became the General Manager and Director of Golf at The Fox Club in Florida, earned his real estate licence, and has spent time as an investment professional. Fun facts about his background include that he was an avid handball player and a professional skateboarder in his youth, famously breaking seven ribs, a hand, and a foot trying extreme stunts before dedicating his focus entirely to golf.
