He won the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship in 2010 and 2017 and played his first DP World Tour event at the 2007 BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.
Richard is the Head Professional at St Kew Golf Club in Cornwall and since 2019 has been working with coaches Robert Rock and Liam James.
In 2025, O’Hanlon competed in several events, including the Reignwood Legends Championship, the Swiss Seniors Open, the Costa Navarino Legends Tour Trophy, the OFX Irish Legends, and the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship.
