Richard Bland joins the Staysure Legends Tour at the Champions UK plc European Senior Masters at La Manga Golf Resort in 2026. He brings a strong senior record with him, having won the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship on his senior major debut in 2024 before adding the U.S. Senior Open two months later. Making him one of the most successful senior players who has played 2 senior majors and won
both.
Bland turned professional in 1996 and spent more than two decades on the DP World Tour, regaining his tour card five times. In 2019, aged 46, he battled his way back onto the main stage again, and two years later his persistence paid off. At the 2021 Betfred British Masters at The Belfry, in his 478th start, he won his first DP World Tour title in a playoff, becoming the tour’s oldest first-time winner at 48. That season brought eight top-10 finishes and 11th place in the Race to Dubai.
Across his career, Bland has reached a career-high world ranking of 48th, shared the halfway lead at the 2021 U.S. Open and played in nine majors, with a best finish of tied 22nd at the 2017 Open Championship.
A keen Southampton FC fan, Bland has even had club icon Matt Le Tissier caddie for him.
