He was runner up in the 2021 Farmfoods European Senior Masters and the 2018 Senior Italian Open where he lost a play-off with Clark Dennis.
A two-time winner on the Challenge Tour in 2005 at events in Italy and Mexico, Gomez has also notched up eight victories on the Tour de las Americas and 11 on the TPG Tour in Argentina, most recently the Abeirto de San Vicente in November 2023.
In 2025, Gómez participated in the Legends Tour Qualifying School but missed the final stage cut, finishing with a total of +4 (220). Before that, his most recent Legends Tour appearances were from late 2024, where he finished 19th at both the WCM Mexico Senior Open and the WINSTONgolf Senior Open, and 34th at the Legends Open de France .
