Paul Lawrie will head into this tournament full of confidence following a runner-up finish at the Jersey Legends last week, in which he was defeated by Australia’s Richard Green in a dramatic three-hole play-off. The Scotsman was spectacularly consistent in 2021 recording six top 10 finishes out of seven appearances and will look to keep his consistency flowing with his last victory coming at the Scottish Senior Open in 2019.
Phillip Price is looking to add to his two Legends Tour trophies since turning 50 after a closely fought battle with Richard Green, Paul Lawrie and Euan McIntosh at the Jersey Legends finishing in a tie for third place on nine under par.
The former Ryder Cup player mostly known for beating Phil Mickelson at The Belfry on the final day’s singles to secure an invaluable point for Europe finished in second place the last time the Welshman was at this week’s tournament and will be looking to use his invaluable experience to come out on top this week.
Simon Khan
Simon Khan will be making his Legends Tour debut this week, recording five professional wins in his career including two on the DP World Tour winning the flagship event the BMW PGA Championship in 2010.
The Englishman last played competitive Tour golf in 2018 competing on the DP World Tour and the Challenge Tour and will be looking forward to making his over 50s debut and seeing some familiar faces in Cornwall this week.
