The Argentinian won the Trophy Hassan II title in Morocco after impressing through 54 holes on the par 73 Red Course where he carded rounds of 69, 70 and 70 to reach -10 and win his first PGA TOUR Champions title by a single shot ahead of Thomas Bjørn.

Bjørn held the lead coming down the stretch, but a run of four consecutive birdies from 13-16 by Gonzalez ensured he turned around a two-shot deficit to go on to take the title – beating the Dane by a single shot in the end.

The victory was made even more special for Gonzalez by having his son Santiago on the bag for the week, an emotional win and one which now ensures his place at all five of the Senior Majors in 2024.

There were top ten finishes for Richard Green and Paul Broadhurst who both ended the week in a tie for 7th place on -4 while Miguel Angél Jiménez, a winner 21 times on the DP World Tour, was T9th on -3.

Well done to all the Legends Tour players taking part last week in Morocco, we look forward to seeing them all very soon when the Legends Tour season gets underway.
