Cameron Clark leads the field at the halfway stage of the Legends Tour’s 2026 Qualifying School after two composed rounds at Gloria Golf Resort in Belek, Turkey.
The Northern Irishman sits at six-under-par following back-to-back 69s, placing him at the top of the leaderboard as the battle intensifies for the four full Legends Tour cards on offer. Clark leads by one shot at six-under-par, with Englishman Paul Streeter and Frenchman Anthony Grenier sitting one stroke back at five-under-par.
Brazilian Rafa Barcellos currently occupies the fourth and final card position at four-under-par, underlining how tightly packed the leaderboard remains at the halfway stage. With two rounds still to play on the New Course, multiple players remain within striking distance of the top four positions.
Clark’s position represents a strong response to last year’s Qualifying School disappointment, when a dramatic double-bogey on the final hole saw him narrowly miss out on securing playing rights. Reflecting on his opening rounds, Clark highlighted a measured approach built around minimising mistakes.
“Not too many mistakes, I think. Myself and my caddie just said if we keep doubles off our cards then we can just keep things steady, which I’ve done. I’ve hit a lot of iron shots close as well, which has been nice, so I’ve given myself some relatively easy birdies.”
Looking ahead to the remaining rounds, Clark added:
“I’m playing really nicely. We’ll just stick to the game plan. Obviously we’re on the New Course the next two days and we’ve said to try and be aggressive as much as we can. With only four cards, you’ve got to keep going forward.”
Tied for second place at five-under-par are Frenchman Anthony Grenier and Englishman Paul Streeter, both well placed as Qualifying School moves into its decisive stages.
Grenier, a former Challenge Tour regular with close to a decade of experience at that level and multiple top-10 finishes to his name, has drawn on that pedigree to post two consistent rounds in Turkey. The Frenchman credited discipline and execution for his position on the leaderboard.
“I stayed focused on my plan. My long game was good and my putting was very good today, I played for around 10 years on the Challenge Tour, so I take this tournament as a new experience. I just stay focused.” he said.
Streeter, a familiar figure on the Legends Tour after qualifying through Q-School in 2018 and going on to win twice that season en route to Rookie of the Year honours, once again leaned on his experience.
“I kept it in play and holed a few putts when I gave myself a chance,” he said. “I played the Old Course today and it’s really tight, so if you can keep it straight off the tee, which I did, you’ve got chances with wedges.”
Managing the unique pressures of Qualifying School, Streeter added:
“I’m used to the pressure. I’ve been here before and if you let it bother you, it can get on top of you. We just try to have fun and put things in perspective. At the end of the day, it’s just another round of golf.”
Rafa Barcellos currently occupies fourth place at four-under-par, holding the final card position at the halfway mark. The Brazilian, who followed his opening-round 68 with a level-par 72 in round two, remains firmly in contention heading into the final two rounds.
Speaking after his round, Barcellos said:
“To get a card here would be a dream. That’s what we work for, and to have this chance means everything.”
The final two rounds of Qualifying School will be played exclusively on the New Course at Gloria Golf Resort, where the closing stages are set to provide a demanding test as the pressure mounts.
With the first major cut now applied, the top 72 and ties have secured their place into the next round. A further cut after round three will see only those within 10 shots of fourth place advance to the final round, where the top four finishers will earn full playing rights for the 2026 Legends Tour season.
