This world-class venue, which has hosted five Irish Opens and two World Golf Championships, now welcomes the Legends Tour for the first time since 1999, bringing together golfing legends and icons from the world of sport and entertainment for an unforgettable week in May.

The official Media and Partners day took place at Mount Juliet Estate and featured panel discussions with Maeve McMahon, President EMEA of OFX, Legends Tour CEO Phil Harrison as well as Legends Tour player – and Kilkenny native – Gary Murphy. Mount Juliet ambassador and hurling legend Henry Shefflin also joined the panel, along with the resort’s Director of Golf, Matt Sandercock.

Also in attendance was Billy McManus of Novellus Finance, who are the official lending partner of the OFX Irish Legends as well as key investors in golf across Europe.

“We are delighted to be heading to such an iconic venue as Mount Juliet Estate in 2025 for the OFX Irish Legends,” said Legends Tour CEO, Phil Harrison. “It is one of the best parkland golf courses in the world and will present a superb challenge for all the players. We’re looking forward to bringing the Legends Tour to Ireland once again and delivering a great week for fans to enjoy.”

Maeve McMahon, President EMEA of OFX, added:

“We’re thrilled to continue as the title sponsor of the OFX Irish Legends for a second year, building on the success of Seapoint in 2024. The iconic Mount Juliet Estate is the perfect backdrop for another unforgettable tournament. We look forward to another fantastic event, celebrating the game and connecting with players, fans, and the wider golfing community in the spectacular setting of Mount Juliet Estate.”

The championship course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, stretches 7,200 yards and features five lakes and 80 bunkers, promising a true test for competitors. Adilson Da Silva, the 2024 champion, will return to defend his title in what promises to be another thrilling tournament.

Mark Dunne, General Manager of Mount Juliet Estate, said: “Hosting the Legends Tour is a testament to the excellence of the golf experience at Mount Juliet. We look forward to welcoming some of the world’s finest golfers to our estate.”

The Celebrity Pro-am takes place on Wednesday 15th March and will feature the likes of Robbie Fowler, Niall Quinn, Liam Brady, Keith Duffy and Daniel O’Donnell, along with many more legends from sports and entertainment.

Formerly the European Seniors Tour, the Legends Tour features a global playing schedule and some of the game’s most celebrated players, with Ryder Cup captains and players, Major champions and Tour winners competing.
